Nilbog, UT – March 25, 2025
The Nilbog Community College Goblins have a new reason to raise their mugs—of milk, that is.
In a move that signals the beginning of an exciting and fruitful partnership, the Utah Dairy Farmers Union (UDFU) has formally announced its support for Nilbog Community College. This collaboration marks a major step forward in strengthening ties between local industries and educational institutions, paving the way for new opportunities in agriculture and dairy sciences.
“Our mission has always been to support Utah’s future,” said Milt Yoder, president of the UDFU. “By investing in Nilbog Community College, we’re not just supporting students—we’re planting the seeds for the next generation of agricultural innovators, farm stewards, and dairy wizards.”
The partnership includes funding for student scholarships, access to agricultural guest lectures, and the donation of dairy equipment for future classroom use. While Nilbog Community College is known for its unorthodox charm and spirited student body, this new alliance introduces the potential for serious academic growth in sustainable agriculture, dairy operations, and food science.
“Nilbog is surrounded by rich farmland, passionate people, and cows with a lot to teach,” said Interim Dean Gretta Moss. “We’re thrilled to explore the development of hands-on programs that not only reflect our community roots but also give our students real-world skills they can use right here in Utah.”
Plans are already being discussed to introduce introductory agriculture and dairy-related courses as early as Fall 2026, with a goal of launching a full Agri-Goblin Studies Track by 2027.
The UDFU also hinted at the possibility of hosting “Moo & You” Day, a campus-wide event where students can meet local farmers, participate in cheese-making demos, and of course, enjoy free milkshakes.
As Nilbog continues to grow, this partnership is just one of many signs that the college’s future is as bright—and as green—as ever.
