Morgan, Utah — April 6, 2025 — Nilbog Community College (NCC) is proud to announce the acceptance of William “Will” Jackman from San Diego, California—the first non-Utah resident to join the college’s student body. Will is set to begin in the August 2025 cohort, pursuing a degree in Business Management with a concentration in agribusiness.
Jackman distinguished himself during the admissions process with his outstanding high school capstone project on time and motion studies, focusing specifically on optimizing cable installation procedures. The project showcased his analytical mindset, his grasp of operational efficiency, and a strong interest in infrastructure—all qualities that align with the values at the heart of NCC’s agribusiness program.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Will to Nilbog,” said Dr. Eleanor Birch, Dean of Admissions at NCC. “He brings a thoughtful, systems-based approach to problem solving, which is something we deeply appreciate here. We think he’ll feel right at home—even if things work a little differently in Nilbog than they do in San Diego.”
Will’s acceptance signals a new chapter for Nilbog Community College, as it continues to extend its reach beyond Utah’s borders. With a focus on cultivating future leaders in business, agriculture, and community development, NCC is committed to fostering a learning environment as rich and rooted as the land it sits on.
